Overview of Services Provided at Desert Bloom Health Collaborative (DBHC)

What we treat

Desert Bloom Health Collaborative (DBHC) provides treatment for patients seeking management of mild to moderate child/adolescent and general adult psychiatric conditions.  We are aware that people are not their conditions and that patients heal faster when treated as a whole.  We take into account how their spiritual, physical and social health factors contribute to their overall mental health and well-being.

All DBHC providers are credentialed experts in the behavioral health field.  Treatment options include medication management and/or psychotherapy.  Our outpatient level of care treats the majority of psychiatric classes and conditions.  Examples of conditions include:

Anxiety spectrum disorders (Generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder)

Mood disorders (Major depressive disorder, Bipolar affective disorder, seasonal affective disorder)

Substance use disorders (alcohol, tobacco, opioid, stimulant use disorders)

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

What to Expect during the first appointment with your provider

The first step to your treatment begins with a behavioral health evaluation to ensure and verify the correct diagnoses.  Once the diagnostic assessment is complete, the patient will then partner with the provider to craft an effective treatment plan to start you on the path of healing.  Part of the assessment involves matching the appropriate level of care needed to the level of severity of the diagnosis.  This step is crucial to achieve the best outcome for success.

At times, the diagnosis or condition may require a higher level of care that our clinic does not manage.  In these circumstances, we refer patients toward resources better equipped to manage higher severity behavioral health issues.  Examples of conditions not managed through our services include:

Psychiatric Emergencies

Severe or treatment resistant Anxiety, Mood, Psychotic, or Personality Disorders

Acute Suicidality, Chronic Suicidality

History of multiple psychiatric hospitalizations to treat conditions

Seeking long term benzodiazepine care

Psychiatric evaluations for legal purposes

Patients in the foster care system
